Jungle and Sea Phuket has two main nature attractions : the beautiful Andaman Sea and lush green forest. Marina Phuket Resort, where the jungle meets the sea, combines some of the finest sea views on the island with a truly extraordinary jungle garden. Formerly a coconut plantation, the lofty palms are now part of a lovely tender tropical jungle surrounding the bungalows and pool area and extending right down to the sea.

Flora and Fauna The original coconut grove of 22 years ago has evolved into a botanical garden, a flourishing ecosystem, home to a wide variety of wild species as well as putting a face to plants many people know only by name or by the fruit that appears in local supermarkets − jackfruit, mango, banana and more. This botanical garden has also become a haven for wildlife, including a thriving community of squirrels and diverse bird life. Watch squirrels feeding on bananas, birds at the banana flowers − you might even glimpse a flying lizard gliding from tree to tree. The whole setting is full of exotic mystery and surprise. At the same time − whether guests are strolling along the raised jungle walkways or relaxing on their private decks − the garden creates a cosy atmosphere, one that includes a sense of being in a natural cathedral, something akin to standing in a primary-growth rainforest.

Marina Phuket Resort enjoys a superb location on the headland overlooking Karon Bay, one of the very best of Phuket's renowned west-coast beaches. The reception area lies on the main Kata-Karon beach road, just a short walk from the center of Kata Town. But the bungalows and restaurants are set well back from the road, providing a peaceful retreat from all the rest of it.
Over the past 20 years, Marina Phuket Resort has painstakingly integrated tropical nature and traditional Thai culture to create the ideal village resort. It combines some of; the finest sea views onthe island with a truly extraordinary jungle garden. Formerly a coconut plantation, the grounds occupy 64,000 square meters and the coconut palms are now part of a lovingly tended tropical jungle extending right down to the sea.
Much of Marina Phuket Resort is hidden away in lush greenery, with a web of wooden walkways providing easy access to both sea and jungle bungalows. The seaside units present sweeping vistas of Karon Beach and the Andaman Sea, including magnificent sunsets; the jungle units offer lush views of forest and glimpses of the pool area - one of the most appealing on Phuket. Guests also enjoy direct access to the beach, where they can swim and snorkle right in front of their bungalow.
